Sliema resident, Sean Meli jumped in to save two people who were dragged out to rough seas last night at Qui-si-Sana, Sliema.
Members of the Civil Protection and Police were alerted yesterday evening at around 7pm of two people who found themselves in difficulty at sea.
Meli immediately jumped in, having seen the incident, and managed to save one of victims as police held ropes from the former Chalet site.
The video below shows one of the victims, reportedly a 14-year-old boy, being pulled to shore by Meli, who jumped into the sea twice to save them. Witnesses said that if it were not for his intervention, the boy would have died.
An ambulance took both victims to Mater Dei Hospital, however, their condition is still unknown.
