The Weeknd has officially released the music video for Save Your Tears, another track from his last studio album, After Hours, but there’s more to it than you may think…

 

 

Last November, whilst accepting the award for Favourite Album – Soul R&B at the AMAs, The Weeknd appeared onstage with his face covered in bandages – which many thought was a nod to his song Blinding Lights, which is about drink driving.

 

 

But this new appearance seems to be a part of a much greater narrative…The Weeknd has genuinely made people believe that he got plastic surgery to look like he does in the video as a clever marketing tactic, but more importantly, to send out a message about the toxicity in Hollywood…

 

 

The ridiculous plastic surgery was also a means to show how celebrities are often pressured to get over-the-top plastic surgery, instead of trying to feel comfortable in their own skin.
