WATCH: The Rock and His Entire Family Tested Positive for COVID-19, and Here is His Piece of Advice

In a lengthy Instagram Post, Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, announced that all his family tested positive for COVID-19. “This has been one of the most challenging and difficult things which we have had to endure as a family,” he said.

The Rock said that even for him personally, testing positive for COVID-19 was more difficult than overcoming nasty injuries or being evicted, or being broke. He said this because his number 1 priority is always protecting his family, his children and his loved ones, “and it is OUR number one priority.”

In the video, The Rock said, “I am happy to tell you guys that we, as a family are good, we are at the other end of it, we are no longer contagious, and we are, thank god, we are healthy. We go through COVID-19 stronger and healthier. Believe me, I am counting our blessings because we have all been hit by this thing. We are well aware that it isn’t always the case that you get on the other end of COVID-19 stronger and healthier.”

“Some of my best friends who have lost their friends, their parents and their loved ones to this relentless virus,” he added.

Giving a little insight into their experience, he said that his two children had little or no symptoms, and they have lived COVID-19 as normal children running around the house and playing. “But it was a bit different for Lauren and I, but we got through it,” he said.

“We picked up COVID-19 from very close family friends, people who we love and trust. We were lucky to control it and mitigate it, but they, like us have been incredibly disciplined.”

In the end, the actor had a set of recommendations, which we should all list down and follow religiously, to continue going through this, TOGETHER!

  1. Stay disciplined.
  2. Boost your immune system with vitamins and antioxidants.
  3. Commit to wellness.
  4. Wear your mask – whilst also playing down any tendency to politicise the use (or lack of) masks – which is the case in the US.
  5. Protect your family.
  6. Be strict about having people over your house or gatherings. Ask them to get tested before!
  7. Stay positive.
  8. And care for your fellow human beings.

“Use me as your example, stay healthy my friends,” he concluded.
