This is the dramatic moment a monster wave slammed into one of the Gozo ferries.
The sea-sickening video taken during the height of the ferocious storm on Saturday shows the angry sea battering the ship as it heads from Mgarr to Cirkewwa.
American tourist Mawk Phoenix captured the dramatic stomach-lurching footage from the passenger deck of the MV Ta’ Pinu as it crossed from Gozo to Malta.
He wrote on Instagram: ‘I got a little soaked there in the end… on the stormy Maltese sea.’
Gozo Channel has been praised for keeping the ferry service running despite 103 km/h gale-force winds and giant waves off the coast of Comino.
