Through virtual means, Prime Minister Robert Abela was able to sit down and have a chat with 91-year-old Mary Pizzuto, who is the first elderly woman in Malta to be vaccinated against COVID-19…and it’s the most adorable thing you’ll see today!
From experiencing the Second World War to living amid a global pandemic, this surely isn’t Nanna Mary’s first rodeo, and she feels stronger than ever now that she’s had both doses of the coronavirus vaccine.
Mary has been residing at St. Vincent De Paul – where Abela’s own nanna also resides – for over four years now and in the conversation revealed that she, alongside the other residents, is well cared for.

As Mary sends an encouraging message to all, it looks like the prime minister isn’t the only one to give her a call, as Mary also shared that she has three loving kids who call and chat with her every single day!
