Piers Morgan needs no introduction, neither does his temper. In the wake of the recent interview which Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave to Oprah Winfrey, Piers Morgan went off on a rant yesterday, describing the wide-ranging interview with Oprah Winfrey that aired Sunday as “a two-hour trash-a-thon of our royal family” for which Markle deserved an Oscar nomination.
Morgan led the British tabloid response to the explosive interview, saying on ITV’s “Good Morning Britain” on Monday that he was “sickened” by the “absolutely disgraceful” interview and was “angry to the point of falling over.” He dismissed several claims Markle made, including that she had felt suicidal during her time as a working royal.
The discussion continue this morning, Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, were joined by Alex Bereford, the show’s weather presenter, Dr Hilary Jones, and Charlotte Hawkins, as the team spoke about the claims Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry, made that a member of the Royal Family expressed concerns about the colour of their son Archie’s skin before he was born. As the panel conversed on the matter, the outspoken journalist ended up walking off the set as he clashed with his co-star.
Bereford, confronting Piers Morgan direct went on to say that Morgan “doesn’t like Meghan Markle” which he had “made clear a number of times”.
Referring to Morgan’s claims that he used to talk to Meghan and she “dropped him” once she started dating the Duke of Sussex, Beresford told him: “She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to.”
Morgan then stormed off-set as Beresford called his actions “diabolical behaviour”, with the show then going for an advert break. Watch the full segment below:
