What can be described as a somewhat of a TV Legend, Piers Morgan has quit ITV’s Good Morning Britain after some 41,000 people complained about his behaviour surrounding the Meghan Markle interview, and the aftermath, which also saw him storm out of the studio this morning.
OFCOM launched an investigation into his comments particularly those surrounding Meghan’s suicidal claims, which Morgan did not believe.
A statement issued by media giant ITV states that ‘Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided, now is the the time to leave Good Morning Britain. ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing more to add.”
One of the last persons Morgan interviewed on GMB this morning is Meghan Markle’s estranged father, who had a thing or two to say about Prince Harry, which seemed to go down well with Morgan himself.
