After a year of radio silence from X Factor season 1 favourite, Owen Leuellen, we’ve finally got his debut single and music video titled ‘My Time’.
The rapper shot to fame on X Factor Season 1 where he secured his runner-up title in the Finals.
His good looks, rapping & song writing skills made him an immediate favorite amongst the X Factor Judges, and the audience fell in love with him as soon as he got onto that X Factor stage.
Now we all know what happened when Ira Losco invited him to feature on her hit single ‘Hey Now’ … that song was played everywhere, for months and it’s still a crown-pleaser, even a year on.
The singer-songwriter had mentioned in his room audition that he had written numerous songs already. In fact his album, which is nearly finalized is currently undergoing the final touches.
‘My Time’ is the first track chosen by Jagged House to pave way for his upcoming debut album. The track is focused on highlighting that it’s his turn in the game after all the time working hard to enter the music industry. As the track goes “This is my time to shine”
When speaking about the music video, Leuellen shares “Some scenes show a figure of a boy writing lyrics on a paper and rapping, representing my childhood writing songs when I had absolutely nothing“.
Other scenes show how he stood for his fans and how from just one kid it turned into a huge following hence crowd surfing And celebrating his debut in this industry
The moral of the story behind it is that hard work pays off and now it’s time to celebrate the success he worked for and deserves.
