With fresh news reaching us about Messi’s possible move to Manchester City, a 2016 video has surfaced of a taxi interview which Pep Guardiola had with a little Man City fan, Braydon.
What are these ‘fresh’ news?
Lionel Messi’s decision to quit Barcelona for Manchester City is to be rewarded with a contract that will cement the multiple Ballon d’Or winner’s status as the highest-paid individual in the history of the sport.
Bay understands that Messi and City Football Group (CFG), Manchester City’s Holding Company, have agreed financial terms worth €700million over the course of five years in the employ of CFG.
Messi – who failed to report for mandatory COVID testing at Barcelona, thus kind of cementing his decision to leave Spain for good, is now expected to play for three seasons at Man City, before moving to another CFG team – New York City FC.
This comes as the deal allows the group’s Abu Dhabi ownership to employ the footballer, with a degree of flexibility retained over the exact timing of Messi’s cross-Atlantic switch.
Various sources are also saying that Messi has been offered an equity stake in CFG as part of his compensation package.
One thing is for certain, if Messi does go to Man City, then fans have Braydon to thank!
