WATCH: Maltese Film ‘Luzzu’ Will Be Premiering At The Sundance Film Festival Tomorrow

 

The Maltese Film, Luzzu, will be making its debut on Friday the 29th of January at the World Cinema Dramatic Competition at the Sundance Film Festival, and follows the story of Jesmark, a local fisherman.

 

 

Whilst the screening will not be available in the US, there will be a live Q&A featuring the Maltese cast after the screening, at 10:44 pm, and can be watched from anywhere!

 

 

The film follows the story of Jesmark, a struggling Maltese fisherman forced to turn his back on generations of tradition and risk everything by involving himself in black market fishing to provide for his family.

The main cast features Jesmark Scicluna, Michela Farrugia, and David Scicluna. Luzzu was written and directed by Alex Camilleri and was produced by Rebecca Anastasi, Ramin Bahrani, Alex Camilleri, and Oliver Mallia.
