Concerts may have been cancelled due to the Covid-19 situation in Malta, but that did not stop Malta’s Philharmonic Orchestra from giving us a beautiful performance of U2’s 1987 classic Where the Streets Have No Name from secluded areas of an empty Valletta.

“After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music”
We’re all in this together!”, the orchestra’s Facebook page shares.
The video is the first in a series of four which the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra is creating together with the Valletta Cultural Agency with the support of Bank of Valletta.
You can see musicians all around iconic Valletta locations, all empty except for the sound of their instruments.
The MPO says it hopes the productions will “inspire people through music, and send a message of hope to all the people out there affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.”
