WATCH: Heartbreaking Footage Of Puppy Being Beaten Up By Owner In Hamrun

WARNING: This footage is definitely not for the weak, it is heartbreaking to watch, and listen to, more than anything. You can see the owner hitting his dog in the balcony, and can clearly hear the dog screaming in terror.

Animal Welfare stepped in and rescued to the puppy, taking him to the Animal Hospital where he was checked for further injuries.

The case has since been forwarded to the police who will pursue the case further.

If guilty, the animal abuser will face charges that vary between €2,500 and €6,500 with the possibility of up to three years in prison.
