Music To Be Murdered By, Eminem’s 11th studio album was released back in January 2020, to start off one of the craziest years we’ve ever had… So, what better way to wrap up the year than by releasing a B-Side to his album?
Exactly 12 months after the album was released (17th January- 17th December), Eminem released Music To Be Murdered By B Side Deluxe Edition!
The stellar collaborations include Skylar Grey, DJ Premier, Ty Dolla $ign, Sly Pyper, MAJ, and White Gold. Oh, and of course it includes the producer that brought Eminem into the global rap scene; legendary hip-hop producer Dr. Dre!
Bringing 13 brand new songs to the table, separated by skits featuring Alfred Hitchcock’s voice like in the first half of the album, Eminem fans (like myself) are absolutely buzzing after waking up to this news!
In Eminem’s iconic style, he tackles many relevant topics through his lines. And what’s more relevant than COVID-19?
That’s where songs like Gnat come in, with Em rapping about masks and social distancing. Watching Em dancing around in a bright yellow hazmat suit, with bats surrounding him and wearing masks, it’s definitely a silver lining to the end of the year!
Eminem definitely doesn’t go easy on the lyrics or the speed, with Killer and Gnat ending in speedy verses, and disses aimed at Machine Gun Kelly along the way! He also features a variety of different beats and styles in typical Eminem fashion, such as an 8-bit game sounding track with Tone Deaf, a modern trap beat with DJ Premier on Book Of Rhymes, as well as a killer verse from Dr. Dre and Sly Pyper on Guns Blazing!
Put those Christmas songs on hold because I know what my plans for the rest of the day are!
