WATCH: Demi Lovato Says Her Fiancé’s “Intentions Weren’t Genuine” In New Song

Mere days after the announcement of her breakup from fiancé Max Ehrich, Demi Lovato took to Twitter to drop her new single ‘Still Have Me’, captioning it ‘Music is always there for me…’. The lyrics to the hopeful ballad are a clear nod to the heartbreak caused by Ehrich, with lyrics such as, “I’m a mess and I’m still broken/ But I’m finding my way back.”

The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer and actor started dating last March, with the pair eventually getting engaged in July. Upon this announcement, Lovato had said “I’ve never felt so unconditionally loved by someone in my life.”

However, the happy news was short-lived as a myriad of screenshots of old tweets published by Ehrich started resurfacing. This included one from 2018 accentuating his flirting with Selena Gomez, blatantly stating “I’m going to marry @selenagomez” and another criticizing Lovato and her vocals.

Demi Lovato says fiancé Max Ehrich's thirsty Selena Gomez comments are fake

Despite the singer being quick to shut down any rumours suggesting there was trouble in paradise, stating that the evidence was “fake”, the announcement of their break-up came just a few days after this statement. While breakups aren’t necessarily great, the silver lining in this situation manifested itself in more Demi music!
