WATCH: Christmas Sweater. Hot Chocolate. Netflix. Sofa: Here is the 2020 Christmas Movie Schedule!

The most wonderful time of the year is nearly among us, and new movies are going to be released on Netflix to make sure that step into that Christmas spirit, which we all love, and look forward to!

We know October has barely started, but Netflix recently released a Christmas announcement that has us over-the-moon and itching to pull out the mistletoe. We promise we’ll wait until after Halloween, though.

Holidate | 28th October 2020

Starring Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey as Sloane and Jackson. At first, they are just two strangers who decide to be each other’s fake holiday dates. This finishes off with a happily ever after ending as they both end up liking each other along the way.

Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey | 13th November

Okay, we know the title is a bit silly, but we’re pretty confident this movie starring Forest Whitaker, Anika Noni Rose, and Keegan-Michael Key, and Hugh Bonneville, Phylicia Rashad, and Ricky Martin is going to go on our list of Christmas movies we have to rewatch every year.

This movie is a musical adventure set in Cobbleton which is a very festive town. It is about a prized invention that gets stolen which leads to the bright granddaughter to save the day with a supernatural robot named Buddy.  Usher and Kiana Lede will feature in the film with their new song ‘New Day’

The Princess Switch: Switched Again | 19th November

The first movie was about these twins, Margaret and Stacy which switch places and live each other’s daily routines and in the end they found love. Vanessa Hudgens is literally switch-ing it up in this movie. A party girl named Fiona, Margaret’s cousin is a third look-alike who has dreams of her own and is down for some Christmas triple trouble!

Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square | 22nd November

The one and only Dolly Parton is really in the Christmas spirit this year! First, she gives us a holiday album and now a holiday musical. Parton is playing the role of an angel and brings a change of heart in an unpleasant woman and old romance too. Christine Baranski plays the role of a wealthy, unpleasant woman but then she changes…for the better.

The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two | 25th November

Back in 2018, the longtime real-life couple Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn played the roles of Santa and Mrs.Claus. Kate (Darby Camp) joined to help Santa to save the world and deliver all toys to the kids, the True Believers. In this movie, Santa needs Kate’s help for a very similar but important mission.

Dance Dreams: Hot Chocolate Nutcracker | 27th November

This documentary film was a joint production between Shonda Rhimes’s Shondaland and Netflix. It follows Debbie Allen and her Los Angeles dance studio as they work to put on their annual holiday performance of Hot Chocolate Nutcracker.

The film will be released to the streaming platform on November 27 and will provide a nice contrast to the scripted films Netflix will be throwing our way for months.

These, and others are just Netflix’s movie premieres. We heard through a very reliable grapevine that there will also be some Christmas specials for certain shows like a full holiday series of Sugar Rush and another series of Home For Christmas, among multiple other titles including a new miniseries called Dash & Lily.

It also appears the movie releases take up most of the first half of their holiday lineup, which means if you want new Netflix Christmas movies to watch during the actual month of December then you might want to try and save a few, since all the movies come out before 1st December even rolls around.
