As we stare outside and watch the rain pour, we welcome the coming cold months while also looking back at the beautiful summer days that have just passed.
The scolding sunshine against our skin, the sound of a beer can opening to cool us down, the annoying screams of children by the sea challenged by that of the waves crashing on the sand.
Speaking of sand!
A talented Chinese artist has recently posted a video illustrating Maltese attractions in their full glory using nothing but sand. All the while telling the story of two love birds who took a trip around our islands.
Yes this video is a bit long….but worth to watch it! A Chinese artist using sand to paint Malta's famous attractions. Simple but emotional deliver the beauty of Maltese Islands.

Starting off with an airbrushed representation of the Maltese islands, the artist then proceeds to trace out what could only be a seafront view of the Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Valletta.
Too bad the couple is too busy gazing into each other’s eyes.
You’re going to miss the view!
Oh, there it goes.
The setting shifts to an inside view of one of Valletta’s sloping roads as the sun sets.
Look at that masterful representation of traditional Maltese balconies that adorn this scene.
And yet, they’re still looking at each other. Seriously, take a break!
But the artist waits for no one.
Malta’s capital and the romantic duo are then wiped off, as we are transported to the old capital, Mdina. The artist even includes a couple of Knights of St. John expressing Malta’s rich history.
We are then taken back to the sea with a representation of the Maltese coastline where the couple take a moment to dive under the sea and admire our rich sea life.
After their dip, they resurface at Malta’s most prized movie set, Popeye Village and they’re not alone this time as Popeye and Olivia have a little cuddle next to them.
The trip then comes to a spectacular end at the Parish Church in Msida where the couple stare into each other’s eye once more while sharing a Luzzu ride and fireworks light up the night sky.
Ok, I’m going to go in a corner and cry for a while now.
I suggest you prepare yourself with some tissues before watching the video.
