The latest Fast & Furious film will soon be with us.
Filming for the ninth installment of the saga has officially begun in the Hertfordshire countryside in England.
While on set, Vin Diesel, who plays Dominic Toretto, posted an Instagram video of him and fellow cast member Michelle Rodriguez, who plays his on-screen wife Letty Ortiz.
He captioned the video: ‘First day completed! Blessed beyond words.’
Vin, 51, shared the good news with his 55 million fans on Instagram: ‘Wow, wow, wow, wow. Can you believe it? Can you believe it?’
He added: ‘We just completed our first day. It feels like a miracle.
‘One hard-earned, but it feels like we’re just so grateful. We’re grateful to you, Universal.
‘We’re grateful for our whole team.
‘Incredible crew, incredible cast, and most importantly we’re so grateful to you, world, that has adopted this franchise.’
Fellow cast member Tyrese, who portrays the series’ fan-favorite character, Roman Pearce, also shared an on-set photo to Instagram, showing off both his and Michelle Rodriguez’s chairs.
Other cast members also joined in the first day excitement with Ludacris and Nathalie Emmanuel sharing posts on social media.
Nathalie wrote on Twitter: ‘Day one of shooting Fast and Furious 9 today. The team is back together.’
Ludacris shared a photo of the script on Instagram with the caption: ‘It’s show time.’
Fast & Furious 9 is due to hit the Eden Cinemas in St Julian’s in May 2020.
One glaring omission from this line-up is Dwayne Johnson, who won’t be starring in Fast & Furious 9.
Don’t panic, though – you’ll soon get to see Johnson alongside Idris Elba and Jason Statham in the upcoming Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs and Shaw.
