Two more turtles have been released off the Maltese coast.
The creatures, named Jane and Angelique by Nature Trust Malta, were returned to the wild on the beach at Gnejna Bay after months in rehab.
They were both found entangled in marine debris by fishermen but recovered from their ordeal thanks to the kindness and dedication of the Nature Trust wildlife team.
The organisation appealed to the public not to try and pull lines or free turtles with cuts and other injures.
It said a number or turtles were found dead recently after swallowing hooks which were removed in an unprofessional way.
