TVM’s top newsreader ‘set to work for President’

One of Television Malta‘s most popular newsreaders is set to leave the channel.

Norma Saliba is reported to be preparing to move to San Anton Palace in Attard to work for Malta’s new President George Vella.

She is expected to take up her new role as a media and communications advisor next month, according to The Malta Independent.

The popular presenter regularly anchors the main 8pm news bulletin on TVM, as well as the weekly current affairs programme, Insights.

She began her career as a radio sports journalist before joining TVM in 2005, and previously worked at the Malta-EU Steering and Action Committee in Valletta.
