Francesca Vella was only a month away from turning 14, before she tragically passed away earlier this week.
The 13-year-old from Naxxar started feeling unwell during a trip in Gozo, and was flown to Mater Dei hospital on Sunday. She passed away a few days later.
Francesca was described as someone who “never caused any trouble and was always there to help anyone who needed it.”
She was a top student at St. Michael’s school who had a love for mathematics, as well as make-up.
Tributes soon started flooding in on a post shared by St Michael’s, following her death.
“Rest in peace dearest angel … so sad and heartbreaking. Cannot stop thinking about her family. Sincere condolences ❤️😢 XxX”
