Despite the coronavirus cases on the rise, Tom Cruise is officially set to resume shooting Mission: Impossible 7 in the UK at Longcross Film Studios, which was used to test army tanks in the past.
Longcross Film Studios has also housed blockbuster productions such as Skyfall, Thor: The Dark World, and Guardians of the Galaxy.
Following a nice Christmas break Stateside, Tom Cruise has landed in the UK – shifting production from Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden to Longcross in Surrey, Southeast England.
Unfortunately, the holiday period for the UK has seen a surge of 25.7% in COVID-19 cases. However, the studio falls into Tier 4, which basically refers to the highest level of restrictions under strict COVID-19 protocols.
Mission: Impossible 7 was delayed last October when 12 people on set in Italy tested positive. Production resumed a week later and returned to the UK this December.
The movie is directed by Christopher McQuarrie and is scheduled to release on November 19th, 2021.
