Three children and two adults injured in Mosta crash

Three children and two adults have been treated in hospital after a head-on crash in Mosta.

Malta Police said the accident happened on the outskirts of the town on Zejfa Road at around 7.10pm on Sunday evening.

A police spokesman said: ‘The collision involved a Toyota Rav 4 that was being driven by a 33-year-old man from Zebbug and a Toyota Yaris that was being driven by a 31-year-old woman who resides in Mosta.

‘In the Rav 4 there was also a 34-year-old woman and a 4-months old girl.

‘On the other hand, in the Yaris there was also 5-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl.

‘An ambulance took the 34-year-old man and the 31-year-old women together with the three children to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment. ‘

The two women and the four-month-old girl suffered minor injuries, while the five-year-old boy suffered serious injuries.
