Thousands take to Malta’s streets for charity fun run

The President of Malta has hailed this year’s charity fun run as ‘a celebration of Maltese generosity’.

George Vella addressed a huge crowd in Valletta after thousands pounded the streets to raise funds for good causes across Malta and Gozo.

Runners, including 89.7 Bay presenter Pierre Cordina, made their way from the starting lines in Mdina, Paola and Sta Venera to St George’s Square in the capital.

The 11th edition of The President’s Solidarity Fun Run was in aid of The Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation.

Photographers from IRIS captured some of the best moments of the event on camera.
