That’s right, Peter Pan is getting a live-action remake and it stars Jude Law and Yara Shahidi! At present, production is underway in Vancouver and will be directed by David Lowery.
Based on J.M. Barrie’s novel, Peter and Wendy, inspired by the 1953 animated classic, Peter Pan & Wendy, the movie is an out-of-this-world tale about a young girl who travels with her two younger brothers to the magical world of Neverland, going against her parents’ wishes to attend boarding school.

Wendy then stumbles across Peter Pan, a boy who refuses to grow up, as well as a tiny fairy and a pirate captain. They wound up on a dangerous adventure far, far away from Wendy’s family and home…
Meanwhile, Jude Law will be taking on the role of the evil Captain Hook, alongside Yara Shahidi as Tinkerbell, Ever Anderson as Wendy, Alexander Molony as Peter Pan, Molly Parker, and Alan Tudyk as Mrs. and Mr. Darling, and Jim Gaffigan as Smee.

Elsewhere, a live-action remake of Pinocchio is also currently underway, starring Tom Hanks as Geppetto and Luke Evans as the cruel Coachman.
Peter Pan & Wendy is set for debut in 2022.
