The Weeknd Gifts 150 Meals to Florida Front Liners In Honour of Black History Month

The Weeknd, who is expected to star in the Super Bowl LV Halftime Show, teamed up with Postmates to honour Black History Month and give back to healthcare workers in Florida!

The singer gifted 150 free meals to front-liners at AdventHealth Carrollwood hospital in celebration of the month-long observance. Each Meal was also prepared by a black-owned restaurant.

This initiative came after The Weeknd teamed up with Postmates for their national Black History Month campaign.

The NFL is also inviting 7,500 vaccinated, Florida-based healthcare workers to attend the TikTok tailgate, a COVID-19 safe, in-person event hosted by Miley Cyrus on game day. It will feature surprise musical performances, guest appearances from the NFL, cooking segments, and more.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell shared, ‘These dedicated health care workers continue to put their own lives at risk to serve others, and we owe them our ongoing gratitude. We hope in a small way that this initiative will inspire our country and recognize these true American heroes.’

Meanwhile, we can’t wait to see what the Weeknd has in store for us in his Halftime Show!
