Charitable organisation ‘We Give Joy’ gave the kids at Mater Dei a wonderful surprise this week, as they popped up at the hospital with Easter eggs for everyone as part o their Easter Egg initiative!
‘We Give Joy’ also visited Fra Diegu Home and Dar San Nikola based in Hamrun, their St Theresa Home in Zurrieq and also Dar Saqra Familgia in Zabbar. They even paid Richmond Foundation a visit earlier this week, together with Youth People’s Unit’ (YPU) at Mount Carmel, as well as the ‘Crisis Intervention & Home Treatment Team’ (CIHT) who together support children suffering from mental Health.
They managed to deliver 208 Easter eggs in total, thanks to public donations and special discounts for the cause.
“And of course no Easter Egg initiative would be complete without a ‘contact less delivery’ to the Paediatric wards at Mater dei Hospital! ❤️
“Thanks to your generosity, and contributions, we were not only able to cover all the children at the Puttinu Cares ward, but we were also able to cover all of the children at the other Paedratic wards at Mater Dei; namely Wonderland, Fairyland and the Disneyland Wards!
“Thank you for allowing us to bring some much needed joy to these children who are going through so much, and give them something worth smiling about this Easter! Especially in these truly trying times.❤️
“Thank you also to the incredible staff at Mater dei, who besides all that is going around us, are still going in to work to support all these children and their families.
“I only hope you know how truly grateful we are for this. ❤️
“May we learn to give more than we get.
