Avengers: Endgame Director Anthony Russo has confirmed that he and his brother Joe are banking on making another superhero movie, sharing, ‘We like finding new frontiers.’
The announcement was revealed whilst the two were promoting their new movie Cherry, which stars Tom Holland. Meanwhile, the Marvel filmmaker shared that the duo’s mysterious next superhero project will be a ‘surprise to audiences’.
Anthony shared, ‘We will someday for sure do a movie in that genre again. Probably in the not-too-distant future. Who it’s with, we’re not able to say at this point but you know, we like challenging ourselves. We like finding new frontiers.’
He added, ‘It’s a surprise to us where we’re going and hopefully, it will be a surprise to audiences as well.’
Anthony and Joe are known for several non-superhero-related projects after working in the MCU, such as Cherry and Netflix’s The Gray Man, which stars Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling.
Elsewhere, the Russo brothers also recently cleared up confusion over Avengers: Endgame’s Old Cap timeline.
