The best-selling albums of 2018 are revealed

The soundtrack to the Greatest Showman film has been revealed as the best-selling album of 2018.

It beat 89.7 Bay favourites such as Ed Sheeran, George Ezra, Dua Lipa and Drake to the number one spot.

The album was one of four film soundtracks named on the list of last year’s top 20 highest-selling albums in the UK, with music from Bohemian Rhapsody, Mamma Mia Here We Go Again and A Star Is Born also making the cut.

The rankings were based on figures from the Official Charts Company.

Drake’s smash hit God’s Plan was the most streamed song of 2018

Overall, George Ezra’s second release Staying At Tamara’s was the most successful album of the year, outselling Ed Sheeran’s Divide.
