The Ball of the August Moon Returns On the 1st August, All In Aid Of The MCCFF

What if were to tell you that you can dine under the stars, at the majestic Verdala Palace, on the 1st Day of August, and all for a good cause? The answer to all this is The Ball of the August Moon, which returns this year, on the 1st August 2020.

The Ball of the August Moon 2020 will be the second one for the Vella Presidency and is now an integral part of Malta’s Social Calendar. The Ball has been organised traditionally on the first Saturday of August for over 60 years, back when Malta was under the British Rule.

The Ball is held in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation, which remained being the port of call for many vulnerable people even during the peak of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Naturally, the Legal Notices in place have prevented the Foundation from organising fundraising events in the past weeks and months, and this will be the first major event aimed at raising the much-needed funds. Despite this, this event will be held with all the precautionary measures in place, giving the due importance to the health and safety of all the patrons.

President George Vella said that the Foundation gives out over €1 million in assistance every month.

Tickets against a donation of €100 are available from from The Palace in Valletta, or from Sant’ Anton Palace.
