Taylor Swift’s new song demolishes YouTube record

Taylor Swift is back with a bang on 89.7 Bay.

And the music video for her latest track ‘Me’ has smashed YouTube records, racking up an astonishing 65.2 million views in just one day.

 Vevo also said that Me! broke the record for the most views in a single day.

Reacting to the news, Taylor, 29, took to social media to thank her fans around the world.

She tweeted: ‘Guys, you did this. I cannot stop smiling.’

‘And I’m not trying to be loud but 65.2 million views? and 6+5+2=…….’

The catchy track, which features Panic At The Disco’s Brendon Urie, swiftly rose to 57 million after 24 hours and is now sitting pretty at 101 million views.

The 89.7 Bay hit is also top of the iTunes charts.

Taylor’s latest success means she has beaten Ariana Grande’s ‘Thank U Next’ video, which notched up 55.4 million views in its first 24 hours.
