Taylor Swift’s Lover heads straight for number one

Taylor Swift is speeding ahead in the race for this week’s number one.

Her new release Lover has stormed the album charts and looks set to knock Ed Sheeran off top spot.

Taylor’s seventh studio album could become her fourth consecutive UK number one, and features the 89.7 Bay hits, You Need To Calm Down, Me and title track Lover.

With the final chart positions announced on Friday, the US singer sits at number one with Ed in second place.

Lewis Capaldi sits at number three with his album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent still performing well.
