Stunning images of Malta’s Blue Lagoon to make your jaw drop

We’ve all seen beautiful pictures of Malta’s world famous Blue Lagoon in the past.

But none of them – absolutely none – stack up to this set.

Crystal clear water, white sand, mysterious caves and honey coloured cliffs.

These magnificent photos offer a glimpse into what it would be like to soar over Comino like a bird.

Shot around 70 metres above the ground using a drone by Carden Mizzi, a graphic designer from Pembroke, they capture the beauty of the iconic Blue Lagoon.

Carden, who is a keen drone photographer with his Sky Vision Facebook page, told 89.7 Bay: ‘Quite often it is impossible to visualise a top down shot until I am flying above it.’

He added: ‘What always amazes is how much you can see and explore over a wide area during a 15-minute drone flight.

‘There are amazing hidden textures and patterns in the scenery which could never be seen at ground level.’

Carden said: ‘I’ve travelled to several countries around the world but I’ve never managed to take aerial shots as spectacular as these.’

Check out these amazing images… and be careful you don’t hurt your jaw when it hits the floor.
