Chris Fearne has announced that fully vaccinated people will be allowed to attend standing events such as concerts and festivals from September 6. However, numbers will be restricted to 100 people.
This came as part of a news conference that was held on Tuesday. The decision had been made after several discussions with the Malta Entertainment Industry and Arts association, which has been pledging for standing events to resume.
More details and guidelines are expected to be announced in the coming days, marking the first-time standing events were given the go-ahead since March 2020!
During the news conference announcing a new community health centre in Kalkara, Fearne announced; ‘The government is continuing to ease restrictive measures’.
Meanwhile, as of Monday, the number of people who can attend seated events will increase from 300 to 500 people.
