Tottenham and Liverpool booked their places in the Champions League semi-finals as Man City and Porto exit.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino said: ‘It was unbelievable – the way it finished. I am so happy, so proud.’
‘In a moment many things happened in your head, the disappointment was massive but they changed the decision.’
‘That is why we love football.’
City boss Pep Guardiola said: ‘It is cruel but it is what it is and we have to accept it.’
Meanwhile Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, said: ‘It was always going to be a whirlwind here and that was what it was. Second half the energy level dropped for Porto and we could control the game and score the goals.’
‘We are more experienced, that is clear.’
This means that Liverpool will start the semis away against Barcelona on April 30th whilst Tottenham will host Ajax.
