That’s right folks! The third season of The Mandalorian is set to begin filming this April, ahead of its scheduled release later on this year!
Production for the third series is set to begin filming April 5th in Los Angeles. And despite the ongoing pandemic – which has caused delays in filming schedules all around the globe – things look quite on track for The Mandalorian!
As for the plot and such, not much has been revealed, but it has been persistently suggested that Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon could play a fairly major part in the new instalment, as he shared, ‘I have a feeling you’ll see more of me next season’.
He continued, ‘More than likely you’re going to see a lot of Moff Gideon. I can’t be sure of that, but it seems as though this iconic journey that they want you to feel it. I think you’re going to start to see other storylines start to creep in.’
‘When we start to realise there’s such a deep connection [between the show’s storylines and] the rest of the galaxy and what’s really happening. Maybe you’ll get an inkling of what he wants.’
And if you’re not familiar with the Star Wars franchise, The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the Emergency of the First Order, following a lone bounty hunter who goes on the run after being tasked with retrieving ‘The Child’ (aka, the beloved Baby Yoda).
Last season, The Mandalorian and The Child continue their journey, ‘facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire.’
