Gozo is the place to be this weekend, with three days of amazing events and family fun.
The first ever Gozo Alive festival is happening from Friday to Saturday, with a host of activities in Victoria as well as in Marsalforn, Xewkija, Qala, Dwejra, Zebbug, Munxar and Xaghra.
Award-winning London band Rudimental will perform in Independence Square in Victoria on Saturday night.
The group have enjoyed massive chart hits with Dizzee Rascal and even Ed Sheeran – and went straight to number one in the UK charts with their first hit, featuring singer John Newman.
Gozo Alive is being organised by the Ministry for Gozo, with activities taking place all over Gozo.
Gozo minister Justyne Caruana told 89.7 Bay: ‘The Gozo Alive festival will provide entertainment for all ages and tastes.
‘This is another way for Gozitan families to visit and enjoy a happy atmosphere, filled with top local and foreign talents from various fields of culture in a unique environment of the city and the resort areas.’
The highlight will be on the Saturday, when events will take place throughout the day, all around Gozo.
Rudimental will be joined on stage by Maltese bands Red Electric and The Travellers as well as Ivan Grech from Winter Moods.
Gozo Alive will also include classical music concerts in several churches and chapels in Victoria.
