Rita Ora nominated for 2019 British LGBT Awards

Rita Ora has been nominated for a top prize at this year’s British LGBT Awards.

The Let You Love Me singer, 28, will battle it out against Demi Lovato, Halsey and Troye Sivan for the Music Artist of the Year award at the annual ceremony in London.

A host of big names are nominated for the Celebrity Ally category, including New Rules singer Dua Lipa and Sherlock actor Benedict Cumberbatch.

Little Mix, pictured below, Cara Delvingne and Ellie Goulding are also up for awards at the event, which celebrates people who have helped to advance LGBT rights during the past 12 months.

British LGBT Awards founder Sarah Garrett said: ‘A really broad mix of deserving people and organisations have been nominated in the 2019 British LGBT Awards. It is our most diverse shortlist yet.

‘From actors to musicians, TV personalities and influencers, the list is an amazing group of role models who have supported the community and shown their commitment to raising awareness and advancing LGBT rights.’

The 2019 LGBT awards will take place in London on Friday 17 May.
