On the 10th of May, further measures will be reduced as non-contact sports can resume without spectators, doctrine lessons and any extra-curricular activities can continue, and restaurants and snack bars can open until 5 pm, before switching to a take-away basis.
Moreover, the travel restriction between Malta & Gozo will also be lifted and when restaurants re-open in May, there will be a limit of 4 people per table. Open markets will also be able to resume.
With the several decisions taken and the sacrifices made over the recent weeks, the Prime Minister emphasised that it has helped keep the number of positive COVID-19 cases low.
Meanwhile, as of tomorrow, measures will be lifted as planned, including the re-opening of non-essential shops, the opening of museums, visits to Monte Carmeli will be allowed, guests will climb up to 4 out of 4 different households in residential homes, and people can publicly gather in groups of 4.
€45 million in vouchers will also be distributed to people to help re-generate the economy.
