South End Core has announced that the proposals for football fans to return to stadiums have been shot down by the Health Authorities.
In a post on their social media, the group said that they had hoped for a return in the coming days and weeks, especially after the amazing games which the Maltese National Team has been playing lately.
The Proposals were laid out by the Malta Football Association last month, and they listed a set of best practices for allowing football fans to be re-admitted to matches.
The national team shall be heading back to action this week against Liechtenstein. “We had wonderful plans that unfortunately for the time being we have to put back on the shelf,” the group said.
The group had also proposed its own set of protocols for the return of fans to the stadium, which also included health and safety measures which were even based on UEFA guidelines.
