Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been named among Time magazine’s 100 most influential people as they make the cover of the special issue.
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have made this year’s #TIME100 Most Influential List: “In a world where everyone has an opinion about people they don’t know, the duke and duchess have compassion for the people they don’t know. They don’t just opine. They run toward the struggle.” pic.twitter.com/gPXRFBoNgU

The news was announced by Omid Scobie, the Royal editor at Harper’s Bazaar. The royals were photographed in their Californian home, alongside a short profile written by José Andrés, founder of the World Central Kitchen, a non-profit organisation that distributes food to those suffering in the wake of natural disasters.
The profile speaks of their Archewell Foundation, through which they produce content and charity work, including helping non-profit groups offer mental health support to black females in the United States.

‘In a world where everyone has an opinion about people they don’t know, the duke and duchess have compassion for the people they don’t know,’ it reads. ‘They don’t just opine. They run towards struggle.’
This comes after the beloved couple sparked important conversations about mental health and race earlier this year, following a ground-breaking interview with Oprah Winfrey. Meghan revealed she was left feeling suicidal during her time as a royal, citing an alleged conversation regarding concern over her son’s skin colour and why the palace decided to not make him a prince.
Prince Harry then clarified that the conversation happened at the start of their courtship before Meghan was even pregnant. Buckingham Palace then addressed the debate, writing: ‘The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan’.
‘The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.’, it added.
