Prime Minister greets new students at University of Malta

The University of Malta has opened its doors to more than 4,500 new students.

The Prime Minister wished them well as he paid a visit to the main campus at Tal-Qroqq at the start of the academic year.

Joseph Muscat greeted students and posed for selfies at a Freshers’ Week event.

The university’s student population now stands at 11,860, of which 60 percent are women.

The figure includes 979 international students from 113 different countries.

Maltese MEP Roberta Metsola also toured the campus and paid a visit to the 89.7 Bay stand.
