Pilot Adopts Abandoned Puppy At Airport

pilot adopts dog

How can you resist those floppy ears 🤩

After being taken to the San Francisco airport by a passenger from Asia who abandoned the animal when they were told they had the wrong documents, a United Airlines captain has adopted the cute puppy.

Almost 30 airline employees applied to adopt Polaris but ultimately Captain Dale was selected

He was just 12 weeks old when his unknown owner abandoned him in September because he lacked the necessary documentation to keep the animal in the United States.

The small puppy, given the nickname Polaris after United’s business class service, was transferred to an animal facility at the Los Angeles International Airport and kept there for three months as United representatives tried to find a way to keep him in the country.

United threw the six-month-old German shepherd mix an adoption party to celebrate finding him a forever home

The German Shepherd mix, who is now about six months old, was eventually adopted by United Airlines Captain William Dale, who celebrated his return home with an adoption party at the airport. The airline cooperated with the San Francisco SPCA to locate the dog a new home.
