Part Of Chadwick Lakes Road Collapses Overnight

Part of a road that runs through the Chadwick Lakes site has collapsed overnight, as the Mtarfa local council warned motorists on Monday morning.

The collapse was characterised by a continuous downpour after an incredibly wet week for Malta. The Meteorological Office even said it had measured a month’s worth of rain in just a few days in Malta.

Chadwick Lakes, otherwise known as Wied il-Qlejgħa, received a revamp recently, but allegedly, no work was recently carried out on the part of the road that collapsed.

It is not yet clear why the road collapsed overnight.
