Last year, on the 6th September, at St George’s Hospital in London, Enrica Rose, aged 13, passed away after losing her fight against cancer. In her funeral, St Julian’s Parish Priest Fr Claude Portelli had stated that Enrica Rose was a courageous girl, who had lived a life filled with love and simplicity, leaving an effect on every person she met, adding that Enrica has taught us all to appreciate the simple things in life.
A year on, her courageous parents, Pamela and Tonio Mifsud Bonnici, celebrated her life by holding a Fundraising Initiative in aid of Puttinu Cares, an NGO which, they said, gave extraordinary and selfless support, love and care given throughout Enrica’s illness.
The beautiful sum of €13,000 was collected and in a post, Puttinu Cares said that in this campaign they can see Enrica’s hidden hand from Heaven.

“As you can see from the collage of photos, all of us at Puttinu miss Enrica’s beautiful smile and the respectful behaviour which she had towards everyone. Her love was endless, and we are sure that Enrica prays for her father and mother, and for her brother, who she loved very much, as well as for all the children who are currently going through a tough time.”
