Fans of the marmalade-obsessed bear can now rejoice, as the third instalment to the Paddington franchise has officially been confirmed!
Representatives from the film’s production company told the publication, ‘We can confirm Studiocanal is working very hard on film 3 with the utmost craft and care – as with film 1 and 2.’
Hugh Bonneville also teased the movie’s return on BBC Radio 2’s The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show last week, vaguely sharing that it was ‘somewhere on the horizon’.
However, no plot details or information about who will be starring has been revealed yet since the movie is still in its early stages, but Ben Wishaw (who voices Paddington) is very likely to return for the third instalment too.
Elsewhere, Imelda Staunton (Aunt Lucy) and Michael Gambo (Uncle Pastuzo) could also be making a return. Hugh Grant is also keen to return as villain Phoenix Buchanan and even teased the idea of collaborating with Nicole Kidman.
The first instalment of the live-action adaptation saw great success back in 2014, and once again in 2017, when the sequel was released.
