Malta Film Commissioner Johann Grech expressed his delight at the surge in individuals seeking to pursue a career in the film industry during a Q&A session attended by numerous aspiring film crew members eager to learn about opportunities in Malta’s film sector.

As the film industry experiences constant growth, Grech emphasised the necessity for a comprehensive training programme for Maltese residents to keep up with the escalating demand for film and TV productions being shot in Malta. Grech stated, “We are attracting more productions to Malta and continuously training more locals to join us.”

This week, training sessions facilitated by the Malta Film Commission will begin, with over 2,500 locals enrolled in workshops covering a variety of crucial roles, such as carpenters, welders, sculptors, visual artists, hair stylists and makeup artists, seamstresses, sound technicians, camera operators, accountants, and script supervisors.
