Malta is marking World Mental Health Day on Thursday.
Health chiefs in Malta are encouraging people to look after themselves and open up about any issues they may be dealing with.
They say more than one in five of us in Malta will face challenges to our mental health at one time or another.
Family doctor Dr Nicola Smith said: ‘We need to look after our mental health just like our physical health.
‘It’s really important that you speak to someone if you notice a change in your mental health such as feeling more stressed, unhappy or disengaged.’
She added: ‘Sharing how you are feeling by speaking to your doctor or even a friend or family member, will help you to feel better.
‘Activities such as exercise and breathing techniques have also been shown to enhance your mental health.’

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Ed Sheeran have teamed up for World Mental Health Day, urging people ‘to look out for anybody that might be suffering in silence’.
Footage shared on the SussexRoyal Instagram account begins with a spoof misunderstanding between the red-headed pair, with Ed declaring he is there to write a song to raise awareness ‘for people like us’.
Ed says: ‘With the jokes and the snide comments. I just feel like it’s time we stood up and said ‘We’re not going to take this any more. We are ginger – and we’re gonna fight’.’
At the end, Harry sits next to Ed on a sofa and says: ‘Guys, this World Mental Health Day, reach out, make sure that your friends, strangers – look out for anybody that might be suffering in silence. We’re all in this together.’
