On your marks and get set for this year’s Valletta 5-kilometre run.
Malta’s capital city will host the event on Thursday 8 August – and don’t worry it’ll start at 8pm once the sun begins to set.
The route around Valletta is mostly flat, so if you want to set a personal best then this is the run for you.
Starting conveniently in Castille Square, you’ll make your way past some of the city’s most famous landmarks including Victoria Gate, the Lower Barrakka Gardens, Fort St Elmo and the Triton Fountain before finishing outside Parliament at City Gate.
Organisers told 89.7 Bay: ‘Whether you’ve never run before, or you’re preparing for your 100th event, you can’t afford to miss out on what is going to be the ‘must-do’ running event this summer.
‘It’s fresh and it’s exciting, give it a go and set your next challenge today!’
