Record numbers of us are visiting Gozo, according to new figures.
A total of 1,415,326 passengers travelled between Malta and Gozo between April and June.
That’s an increase of 7.3 per cent compared to same time a year ago.
The National Statistics Office in Valletta said the highest number of passengers was recorded in April – 474,647 or 33.5 per cent of the total for the three month period.
The number of cars, vans and lorries rose by 8.3 per cent, totalling 394,106.
The study confirmed that Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest days at Cirkewwa, while Sundays and Mondays are the busiest at Mġarr Harbour.
