Record numbers of us are visiting Gozo, according to new figures.
An imopressive 1,840,575 passengers travelled between Malta and Gozo between July and September.
That’s an increase of 3.4 per cent compared to same time a year ago.
The National Statistics Office in Valletta said the highest number of passengers was recorded in August when 649,878 people or 35.3 per cent of the total for the three month period travelled on the ferries.
The number of cars, vans and lorries rose by 8 per cent, totalling 538,864.
The figures confirmed that Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest days at Cirkewwa, while Sundays and Mondays are the busiest at Mgarr Harbour.
